Bonnie Kay Fosnaugh, age 74, of Defiance, Ohio, went to meet her savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

She was born on July 6, 1951, to Alva and Jean (Lantow) Clemens in Defiance, Ohio. She was a 1969 graduate of Defiance High School and a dedicated employee of Defiance Optometric Group for 41 years.

Bonnie has lived her life for God, her family and Defiance Christian Church. Bonnie was a woman of faith in any and all circumstances, she always looked to God as her help. Since retiring in 2019 she has enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was always happy to volunteer with anything needed at her church and had a heart of gold. She cared deeply and genuinely for each person she met. If you ever asked her to pray, it was guaranteed that she would pray and check in on you. She never complained, always looked out for others and loved with all of her heart. If you knew Bonnie, you knew how much she loved Jesus, her boys and her family.

Surviving are her sons, Matthew (Allison) and Michael, and four grandchildren, Sadie Kay, Lucas Matthew, Olivia Jane and Rowan Grace. Also surviving are her sisters, Jean (Rich) Caldwell, Linda (Walter) Beardsley, Diana (John) Ater, Mary Erickson, Sandi (Doug) Klausing and (Melody) Hope Thompson and her many nieces and nephews who she cared for deeply.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Jean Clemens, sister Kathy Clemens, brothers, Wayne Erickson and Jeremy Thompson, and nephew, Cameron Erickson.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Defiance Christian Church in Defiance. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 11:00 am at the church, with Pastor Mike Hasselbring, officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
