Louis  Campbell, Sr., 60, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, January 4, 2016 at Defiance Regional Medical Center.  
  
He was born on June 13, 1955 to Edward and Mary (Maddox) Campbell in Youngstown, Ohio. On February 13, 2003 he married Betty Jean (Rhynes) Campbell, who resides in Defiance. Louis was a member of Grace Bible Church in Defiance. He worked as a welder for KMI in Kalida, and General Dynamics in Lima.
  
Louis will be greatly missed by his family; wife, Betty Campbell of Defiance,  daughter, Seretta Campbell of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, stepdaughters, Tamara Nicole Newsome of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tisha Lynn Shorter of Lima, Ohio, sons, Louis Campbell, Jr. and Michael Reed, both of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, six grandchildren and one brother.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
  
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Grace Bible Church in Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the church on Saturday, with Dr. John McKay officiating. Schaffer Funeral Home is handling local arrangements. Additional services will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Odell Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of  those arrangements. Burial will take place at Uniondale Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
