Terry A. Bodenbender, 50, of Defiance, passed away on  Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Defiance, Ohio.  
  
He was born on August 12, 1965 to Jerry and Linda Bodenbender in Defiance. Terry was a graduate of Ayersville High School, and he served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1983 to 1989. Terry was a member of  UAW Local #211, and a life member of  VFW #3360 in Defiance. He worked as an electrician at General Motors, and he also worked at Phillips in Ottawa, Ohio after serving in the U.S. Navy, and at Tenneco Automotive in Napoleon, Ohio. Terry loved to hunt, and he was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Cincinnati Reds.
  
Terry will be sadly missed by his family; parents Linda and Jerry A. Bodenbender, son, Austin Cramer-Bodenbender of Napoleon, daughter, Sydney Cramer-Bodenbender of Napoleon, brothers, Jerry L. (Michelle) Bodenbender of Bryan, and  Berry  (Jimmy Dennis) Bodenbender of Laguna Hills, California, nieces, Amber Bodenbender, and Taylor Pool, nephews, Joey & Brad Bodenbender, Justin Watts, and Donovan Dennis.
  
He was preceded in death by Grandparents.
  
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the funeral home, with Pastor Butch Rode officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, with graveside military rites accorded by VFW #3360.
