Rowland L Cooper, Jr.  (Rollie/Junior), 74, of Defiance, went to his Heavenly home May 23, 2016 and is now at peace with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He loved his children, grandchildren, wife of 52 years and Molly his precious Shih Tzu. He is celebrating a fully healed body in the arms of his Savior, and is saying, "now I am in my eternal home".
  
He was born  March 26, 1942 to Rowland, Sr and Thelma (Nagel) Cooper in Defiance. On December 21, 1963 he married Patricia Ort.    Rollie worked as a Plant Estimator at Johns Manville for 24 years. He was a member of the First Church of God on Carter Road in Defiance Ohio  He enjoyed flowers, trees and yard work.
  
Rowland is survived by his loving spouse, Patricia; son, David L (Terri) Cooper of Ney, Ohio; daughter, Jeanne M (Randy) Bond of Defiance, Ohio. He was blessed with  four grandchildren;  Kayla, Tyler, and Riley Cooper and  Meling Bond.  He will be missed by his brothers; Dennis (Pam) Cooper of Westerville, Ohio and  Roger (Sheri) Cooper of Defiance, Ohio.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brothers, Donald and Ronald Cooper in childhood. Also preceded by Taffy his beloved Lhasa Apso.
  
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.
     
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Rick Rufenacht, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Ayersville Cemetery.
