Norm was my union brother, committeeman and friend. I worked previously in Defiance from 1999-2002, then returned in 2012. He was the only coworker with whom I kept in touch during the entire time I was working at other plants. I have greatly admired him for his work ethic, his union background and principles, and his integrity. I am devastated by the loss of this great soldier in our cause, but most especially for losing such a wonderful human being from our midst. You will be greatly missed, Norm, and always remembered.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. Norm and I could not pass each other at work without stopping to talk about our families or our Fighting Irish. I pray you find comfort in the fact that he touched so many people. He will be missed.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Norman was a very good man with many talents. He loved writing about his time on Kuser Mountain and I am glad that he was able to finish his second book. He may not have had time to get it published but I know that he was at peace knowing that it was finished. He talked of his family and showed off new pictures on a daily basis. He was very proud of all of you. Prayers for the family.
