Dear Tom, Paula & Catherine,
So sorry to hear of Mark's passing. Our son, Scott, spoke with Mark late last summer when he was at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor. Scott said that neither one knew who the other one was until he asked Mark where he lived and he replied "a small town on the Maumee River between Toledo and Ft. Wayne." Scott asked if he was from Defiance and when he said he was and when they got around to telling each other their names, Scott said "Your mother was my babysitter!" "She practically raised me." Scott would look for Mark and tried to speak to him each time that he saw him. Scott was so surprised when he met Mark and was sorry to hear of his passing. Hugs from us. Your mom meant so much to our family. May Mark rest in peace.
