My thoughts and prayers are with you Marva, Kent, and all of the Clingaman family.
I've been lucky enough to know Al for about 10 years now I guess, thanks to my love for aviation, and model aviation. I'm always going to miss hearing the word's "How ya doin Jode" from Al when I'd arrive at the field. Al was the kind of person I wish more people were like. He was one of the nicest people I've ever known, and I will miss him a lot and the conversations we had.
Al always enjoyed flying his RC aircraft, and now I hope he can enjoy his new wings in heaven and he'll always be with us at the field now.
I miss ya buddy. R.I.P AL .......

I wish to tender deepest regrets on the death of Al. Ai and I served in the Air National Guard Band together for a number of years. He always seemed so upbeat and energetic especially when Playing piano. I will remember a particular motorcycle ride to annual training in Tennessee. Al had a flesh colored helmet with red lines and sutures painted on it. It got some interesting looks from passersby.
Prayers to the family .

Dear Marva, Kelly & Karri,
Our deepest sympathy to your family. Al was a very talented and special guy. We will always cherish the memories of him and the beautiful apple cutting board and pen that he made and gave to us. Just thinking of him brings a smile to our faces. He will be missed! Love, Linda & S.G.

Marva and children; I am saddened to hear of Alan's passing, but am relieved that he is no longer in such extreme pain. Alan was my oldest first cousin, and I have such wonderful memories of our times together growing up, at our grandparent's house. Such fun..! Alan was such a gifted pianist, and I always wished that I could be as good...I wasn't that lucky..! Al was blessed to have such a wonderful wife as Marva. They enjoyed many years together doing the things they both enjoyed, traveling, gardening, and enjoying their children and many grandchildren. Do not be SAD, remember the HAPPY times, and know that Alan is in a better place than we are...! REST IN PEACE...!

My deepest sympathy to the entire Clingaman family. They were my neighbors on West High Street for many years and I was one of the family's babysitters. I always enjoyed spending time with the Clingaman family. Alan and Marva were wonderful neighbors and they would do anything to help others. I had forgotten about Al's motorcycle until I read the obituary. I do remember him riding it a lot, now that I think about it.
