William "Bill" Frank Warren Sr.

William "Bill" Frank Warren Sr., age 98 of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at The Laurels of Defiance.

He was born on June 28, 1927 to Frank and Edith (Fuller) Warren in Williams Co., Ohio. On June 13, 1954 he married  Bessie Lee Farris. Bill had a strong connection to The Lord. He was a life long member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir for decades. His love for music lead him to sing in Messiah for years. Bill worked as a Time Keeper for GM for over 35 years. He had a fascination for WWII aircraft, the Wauseon Threshers convention, and golfing. Bill valued family and could not get enough of his great-granddaughters.

Bill is survived by his son, William Frank (Elaine) Warren, Jr. of Defiance; sister, Helen Frank of West Unity, OH; grandson, Timothy (Kaitlyn) Warren of Hicksville, OH; granddaughter, Karen Warren of Defiance; and great-granddaughters, Regan, Rylee and Renley Warren. 
  
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Lee Warren and brother, Richard Warren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 10th at the funeral home, with Pastor John Schlicher officiating. Entombment will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
