William "Bill" C. Fox

William C. "Bill" Fox, age 72 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at The Laurels of Defiance.   
  
He was born on August 12, 1953 to the late Paul and Helene (Mekus) Fox in Defiance, Ohio. Bill was a 1971 graduate of Defiance High School and was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Bill worked as a service manager at Arp's Hardware Store for many years. Bill loved riding his motorcycles and going out for a drive. His yearly trip was driving to the West Coast and back on his motorcycle. Bill will be sadly missed by his family and good friends.  
  
Bill is survived by his sisters, Mary Kay Rugh and Jane Fox Lackey, sister-in-law Mollie, two nieces and two nephews. 
  
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Tony Fox, and brother-in-law, Eugene Rugh.
  
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Fr. Kevin McGraw officiating. Bill will be laid to rest in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.
