William Andrew Miller

William A. Miller, 92, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025  at CHP Area Inpatient Hospice Center. 

He was born on September 18, 1933, the son of Harvey and Marie (Rumschlag) Miller Prieur, in Defiance County. On February 14, 1953, he married Beverly "Bev" Grant.

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He went on to become a Millwright at General Motors where he worked until his retirement. Bill and Bev spent countless hours fishing and camping. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as a cold beer and dinking with friends on Tuesday nights.

William is survived by his children; Vicki (Mark) Noirot, Mike (Marsha) Miller, Cindy Ankney, and Greg (Susan Zartman) Miller, all of Defiance. He will be greatly missed by his 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister; Connie Sprouse.
  
William was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly A. Miller; son-in-law, Bernard "Gene" Ankney; sisters, Margaret Ann Schaffer and Norma Jean Siler; and brothers, Larry K Miller and Norman Dean Miller.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Riverview Memory Gardens, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW #3360.
