Wayne H. Myers Jr.

Wayne H. Myers Jr., age 82 of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. 
  
He was born on July 17, 1940 to the late Nina Mae and Wayne H. Myers Sr. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. On October 23, 1987 he married Patsy (Burdue) Myers who survives. Wayne proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. 

Wayne was a member of Defiance AmVets #1991, American Legion #454, Moose Lodge #2094 and UAW #211. He worked for several years as an Inspector at General Motors in Defiance until his retirement. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading the Bible, and eating! Wayne was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He loved spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
  
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patsy Myers of Defiance, and his children; Pam Nagy of Oakwood, OH, Tim Stetter of Perrysburg, OH, and Angela (Michael) Sharp of Latty, OH. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and his sisters, Ann May of Paulding and Sue Hatfield of Missouri. 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Jill Wilmarth, his brother, Steven Myers, and granddaughter Danielle Wilmarth.
  
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Eddie Harris officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
