Warren L. Hart

Warren L. Hart, age 77 of Ney, Ohio, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday morning, February 27, 2025.  
  
He was born in Defiance, Ohio on May 24, 1947 to the late Olen and Doris (Crawfoot) Hart. Warren proudly served our country in the Air Force and Air National Guard. On January 24, 1970 he married Susan Baxter, who survives. 
  
Warren was a member of Ney American Legion and Defiance VFW. He worked as a track inspector for CSX Railroad for several years until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and raising chickens. Warren was a handyman and had knowledge about many things. He would always offer help to anyone who needed his assistance. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
  
Warren is survived by his loving wife Susan, three daughters, Kathy (Mike) Kennedy of Ney, Laura (Dan) Wallen of Defiance, and Tanya (Henry) Schaadt of Perrysburg. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Matthew Wallen, Kyrstyn (Jake) Wachtman, Alexis (fiancé Dominic Johnson) Wallen, Breanna and Louis Schaadt, Tegan and Kaden Kennedy, great-granddaughter Anna Wachtman, his sister, Carol (John) Ehlinger of Defiance, and his dogs who he loved dearly, Poppy and Willow.  
  
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Doug Hart.
  
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, March 3rd at Schaffer Funeral Home. A funeral luncheon will be held at Ney American Legion immediately following the service.
