Wanda (Osborne) Sanchez

Wanda Sanchez, age 80 of Defiance, went to be with The Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022.  
  
She was born on March 5, 1941 to the late Henry and Wortha Osborn in Grundy, Virginia. Wanda loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was married to Joe Sanchez who preceded her in death.
  
Wanda is survived by her children; Denny (Melissa) Coburn of Defiance, Penny (Regi) Miller of Ft. Wayne, IN, Mark (Leslie) Coburn of Waterloo, IN, Scott Coburn of New Castle, IN, Sheila Pack of California, and Bruce Coburn of Ohio, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Coburn of Paulding, OH. She leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, her brother Waverly (Alma) Osborne of Panama City, FL, and her friend Mario Martinez of Defiance. 
  
In addition to her parents and her husband Joe Sanchez, she was preceded in death by her sons Noah Thacker, Greg Thacker, Willy Coburn, Butchie Coburn, two grandsons and two brothers.
  
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the funeral home, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Robert Sheppard will officiate. Due to CDC guidelines, if you are not fully vaccinated a mask is required to enter the funeral home, and our lounge area will remain closed. Burial will take place at Brunersburg Cemetery.
