Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Truman J. Chrisman, age 78, of Defiance. He passed away on Wednesday morning, July 12, 2023 at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, where he had been a patient.
Truman was formerly employed at the Valentine Theater and Kissner's Restaurant in Defiance. He loved movies, was very loyal, and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his two brothers, John of Wickenburg, Arizona and John Shea of Travis City, Michigan, his sister, Susanna Eldridge of Zanesville, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margery Chrisman, and his older brother, Frank Chrisman.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Brunersburg Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Stroede Center for the Arts, 319 Wayne Avenue, Defiance.
