Obituary
Troy Gene Whitaker, 61, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at SKLD Care Center in Defiance, Ohio.
He was born on January 26, 1960 to Dallas and Faylene (Slaninka) Whitaker in Toledo, Ohio. Troy served in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for many years, which he truly enjoyed. He liked Harley Davidsons, trucks, and Chevy's.
Troy is survived by his two sons, Dylan Whitaker and Gavin Whitaker, both of Montpelier, OH, three grandchildren; Jackson, Madelyn and Holden Whitaker, his brothers, Aaron and Allen Markey, his sisters, Dalene and Sheila Whitaker, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother in infancy.
No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life may be held at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
