Timothy Weible Obituary

Timothy Wade Weible, 62, of Defiance, Ohio died on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in a scuba diving accident while on vacation in Florida.

Born on June 16, 1959 in Van Wert, Ohio, he was the son of Larry and Louise (Williams) Weible.  Growing up in Defiance, he graduated from Defiance High School in 1977.  He graduated from Defiance College in 1981 with a degree in Chemistry and attended graduate school at Kent State University.

In high school, he met the love of his life, Jean Ann (Mossoney) Weible.  While at a high school youth group event, he made a decision that would impact his life forever by accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.  On June 26, 1982, he married Jean Ann.  They always made their home in Defiance.

Tim worked for LafargeHolcim and Systech for over 35 years, retiring in July 2020 as a Senior Environmental Manager.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Defiance with his family.  He served the church in many roles with his most recent being the church treasurer.

Tim was a fan of The Ohio State University athletics and enjoyed listening to the Cleveland Indians on the radio.  He designed and built the house where his family resided for over 20 years.  In the summer, he traveled with family all over the United States camping in RVs.  He enjoyed many weekends that were spent with friends and loved ones around a campfire. In the early 2000’s he enjoyed watching his son work on The Ohio State Buckeye sidelines. He and his wife cherished hosting their daughter’s wedding in their backyard.  Tim was always there for his family to assist in anything from financial advice, to helping with a handyman project.  After retirement, he focused his attention on being a Papa to his four grandchildren.

Surviving are his beloved wife and soul mate of 39 years, Jean Ann; son, Ryan (Stacy) Weible of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Ashley (Chris) Miller of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Cayden, Kinsey, Lorelai and Harper Lee; father, Larry Weible of Defiance, Ohio; sister Laura (Jim) Wolsiffer of Swanton, Ohio; sister in law, Becky Mossoney of Defiance, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by mother, Louise Weible; brother Lee Weible; father-in-law Bill Mossoney; mother-in-law Mary Ann Mossoney; brother-in-law Jim Mossoney; close friends Rick and Barb Gray.
