Timothy Ward

Timothy Ward, age 62 of Defiance, passed away on  November 4, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
  
He was born on December 30, 1959 to the late Thomas and Joan  (Hohenberger) Ward in Henry County, Ohio. On April 16, 1982 he married Kathleen Mansfield and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2002. Timothy worked for General Motors for many years. He was a member of Defiance VFW #3360, AmVets #1991 and Eagles #372.  He enjoyed working on cars in his spare time, drinking Black Velvet, cooking for his family and spending time with his grandchildren and friends. Timothy loved his family and was a caring father and grandfather.   
  
Timothy will be sadly missed by his children, Lisa  Froelich and Michael Ward of Oakwood, and Nathan Long of Bowling Green, Grandchildren, Timothy and Lillian Epple, Tyson Ward, and Koen  and Mason Long, Sisters, Colleen (Bill ) Beck of Punta Gorda, Florida, Tracy (Mark) Wilhelm of New Bavaria, Ohio and Jodi (Dan) Ankney and Brother, Scott (Julie) Ward of Defiance and family member, Chris Davis also of Defiance.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents,  former spouse, Kathleen, Son, Jason Long and Sister, Bonnie Anders.
  
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, Ohio. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Perry Porter officiating. Burial will follow the service at Ayersville Cemetery.
