Susan Marie Lang

Susan Marie Lang, age 66 of Defiance, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday evening, August 2, 2023 at Swanton Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Swanton, Ohio following an extended illness. 
  
She was born on March 25, 1957 to the late John and Patricia (Young) Hodgson in Saginaw, Michigan. On October 17, 1992 she married Harold "Tim" Lang who survives. Susan was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her time spent driving a school bus for Defiance City Schools. Susan was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. 
  
Susan is survived by her loving husband Tim Lang of Defiance, and her children; Patty (Jeff) Mehring of Defiance, Alesha (Ben) Switzer of Napoleon, OH, Sherry (Jay) Summers of Delaware, OH, Roger Wilbanks of Detroit, MI, and Tim (Jenni) Lang of Defiance. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her brothers, John (Rose) Hodgson and Mike (Dee) Hodgson, all of Saginaw, MI, and her sisters, Terry Stupnicki of Whitelake, MI and Sandi Pothoff of Saginaw, MI.  
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Patricia Hodgson. 
  
There will be no visitation or services. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
