Sue Ann (Sproul) Sohn

Sue Ann Sohn, 80, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on November 28, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  

She was born on May 6, 1944, to Byron and Bertha (Hall) Sproul in Defiance, OH. She graduated from Defiance High School and earned a Bachelor's degree from Defiance College. Sue taught at Paulding Elementary School until she retired in 1995. Sue was married to Larry Sohn, who precedes her. 

Sue enjoyed learning about genealogy and history. She was an avid painter and had a great love for animals, especially cats, dachshunds, and shelties. Sue earned a Centennial Farm award for the Hall family and a First Families award. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Sue is survived by her, children; John (Maureen Carruthers) Sohn of Fort Wayne, IN, and Jayne Sohn of Grove City, OH; grandchildren, Polly (Devon Whitt) Sohn, and Quinton Sohn. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Larry Sohn; infant son, Timmy Sohn, and brother, Jim Sproul.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, Ohio. Sue will be laid to rest at Riverview Memory Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the Fort Defiance Humane Society.
