Steven Allen Corwin, age 73 of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, April 3, 2025 in Woodburn, Indiana.
He was born on March 30, 1952 to the late Clarence and Mary (Hohenberger) Corwin in Defiance, Ohio. He was a 1970 graduate of Defiance High School, attended Bowling Green State University and received his Bachelor's Degree from Northwest State Community College. Steve was very well-known for his work as a manager at Burger Chef. He worked at Campbell's Soup Company and at Sauders until his retirement in 2024.
Steve was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church and was an usher for a number of years. He met several people and made many good friends from work and from his involvement at church. Steve was a simple man and was known for his quick wit and funny sayings. He enjoyed a leisurely round of golf and watching a good basketball game. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes!
Steve is survived by his brothers, Dan (Deborah) Corwin of Woodburn, IN, Richard Corwin, and Craig Corwin both of Defiance, five nieces and four nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Corwin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Kurt Mews officiating. Steve will be laid to rest in Riverview Memory Gardens.
