Shirley (Jordan) LeMaster

Shirleyann LeMaster, 86, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday morning, August 28, 2022 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.  
  
Shirleyann Jordan LeMaster was born on Dry Run in Portsmouth, Ohio on March 13, 1936. On a sunny Sunday afternoon in October, 1955 she married Marvin LeMaster. The two nineteen year old newlyweds drove to Defiance, arriving late in the night. Their honeymoon years began in Defiance that night and lasted almost 67 years. Shirley quickly became involved in the community. She has always been active in her church and women's bible study groups. The Miss Northwest Ohio Scholarship Program was another passion for over 25 years. Shirleyann built her world around her husband, children, grandchildren, and anyone close to her.  
 
Shirleyann was a devoted wife to her husband, Marvin LeMaster of Defiance, loving mother to her children, Paul (Rossana) LeMaster of Brownsville, Texas, and Ami LeMaster of Defiance, grandmother to six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and sister to Judith Oakley of Palmetto, Florida, and Linda Latture of Searcy, Arkansas. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Mark LeMaster.
  
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:30 pm on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Second Baptist Church in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 5:30 pm at the church, with Rev. Ron Monteith officiating. A private burial will be held on Friday morning at Riverside Cemetery.
