Sherry Jean (Heil) Snow

Sherry Jean Snow, 68, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
  
She was born on March 28, 1957 to Gene and Nellie (Stock) Heil in Defiance.   She was a graduate of Defiance High School Class of 1975. On December 3, 1983 she married Jim  Snow who survives.
  
She was a member of the Defiance Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday school. Sherry worked as a caregiver for many years.  She enjoyed activities at the Senior Center in Defiance. Sherry loved traveling with Jim, especially to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.  They also attending high school basketball state tournaments for 40 years together.  She was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and OSU football. In her spare time, she was a crafter and spent time reading the Bible.  Sherry always enjoyed a meal at her favorite restaurant, Blue Pacific.
  
Sherry is survived by her loving husband Jim; her sister, Pamela (Steve) Hamilton of Alabama; her brother, David Heil of Defiance as well as four nieces and two nephews.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Tim Heil and one nephew.
  
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from  2:00 pm to 8:00pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 beginning at 11:00 am at the Defiance Church of the Nazarene with  Pastor Scott Williams and Pastor Terra Gorrell officiating.
  
Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
