Sherry Lynn (Willitzer) Figy

Sherry Lynn Figy, 69, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio.
  
She was born on October 2, 1955 to Don and Vera (Doyle) Willitzer in Defiance. She received her GED in 1991.  Sherry retired from the former Defiance Precision Products where she was a machine operator and inspector.  She was also the union secretary for UAW Local 638.

Sherry enjoyed reading in her spare time and feeding the hummingbirds.  Her favorite past time was spoiling her grandkids.
  
Sherry is survived by her children, Charles "Chuck" Miler, Jr. of Defiance; Jason Miler,Cecil; Todd (Jodi) Figy of Waterville; Cindy Figy of Delaware, OH; Greg (Yolanda) Figy of Defiance; Jason (Amy) Behlke of Chico, CA; Josh (Judi) Behlke of Sierra City, CA;Jessica (John Woody) Behlke of Placerville, CA; life partner, Curt Behlke; and her siblings, Don (Linda) Willitzer, Faye Holbrook, Joe Willitzer, and Penny Schaffer. She also leaves behind her beloved 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Michelle L. Miler and her brother, Jody Willitzer.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at a later date.  Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
