Sheila Ann Sauber

Sheila Ann Sauber, 72, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital.   
  
She was born on June 4, 1951 to Leslie and Ida Mae (Williamson) Brown in Williamson, West Virginia. On May 5, 1984 she married Bob Sauber who survives. Sheila worked as a custodian for Four County Career Center for ten years until her retirement in 2019. She loved her dogs, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
  
Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Bob Sauber of Defiance, her mother, Ida Mae Reed of Williamson, WV, her children, Sarah (Ron) McCabe of Oakwood, OH, Brian (Ashlee) Sauber of Bryan, OH, and Charles (Amanda) Sauber of Sherwood, OH, six grandchildren, and her brother, David (Diane) Brown of Canada, KY. 
  
She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Brown, and her stepfather, Jack Reed.
  
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Apostle O. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will take place at Evansport Cemetery.
