Shane A. Mohr

Shane A. Mohr, age 22 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Defiance.   
  
He was born on October 21, 1999 to Joseph and Vanessa (Mortemore) Mohr in Bryan, Ohio. Shane was a 2017 graduate of Fairview High School. He was attending Northwest State Community College and nearly completed his degree in Criminal Justice. He worked at  the Defiance County Child Support Enforcement Agency. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, boating, baseball, gaming, riding dirt bikes and watching Anime. Shane cherished his time with his son Kaiden...he was his world. Shane was a wonderful son and father, and will be sadly missed by his family and many good friends.

Shane is survived by his parents, Joseph and Vanessa Mohr of Ft. Wayne, IN, his son, Kaiden Mohr of Defiance, brother, Joey Mohr of West Unity, OH, sister, Cassidy Mohr of Ft. Wayne, IN, niece, Charlotte Mohr of Ft. Wayne, IN, and his grandmother, Dee Mohr. 
  
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Mohr, his maternal grandparents, Steven Mortemore and Deborah Hammer.
  
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00 am the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
