Shallus C. Beatty

Shallus C. Beatty of Defiance, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at his residence.   
  
He was born on November 26, 1993 in Defiance, Ohio to Shallus and Caroline Beatty. He married Anais Pagan Cruz on July 3, 2017. 

Shallus graduated from Defiance High School in 2012. He was a three sport athlete. Shallus was a WBL wrestling champion his senior year. He was Honorable Mention for football his senior year and played baseball his entire life. He worked at Pandrol in Napoleon, Ohio 

Shallus was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved sports and was an active and dedicated coach, mentor and cheerleader to all kids he came in contact with. Shallus loved watching and teaching his three boys to play sports and to always be a good sport. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed fishing and anything he could do with his sons.

Shallus is survived by his wife of six years, his sons; Shallus, Kaesen and Ace, his mother Caroline, his sister Samantha (Josh) Ludwig, and his grandmother Evelyn Shaw, all of Defiance, as well as nephews Avery, Oliver and Chad, nieces Elena, Heather and Sabrina, and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Shallus Beatty, his grandfathers, Harold Shaw and Shallus Beatty, grandmother, Florence Beatty, aunts Mary Brogan and Betty Adkins, and uncles Chuck Brogan and Donald Adkins. 
  
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home, with Your Grace Cristina Gerencser officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
