Sally K. (Lang) Yocklin

Sally K. Yocklin, age 78 of Defiance, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, November 17, 2025 in Defiance.

She was born on February 13, 1947 to the late Paul and Donelda (Dirr) Lang in Defiance, Ohio. Sally was a graduate of Defiance High School. Sally was a member of Defiance AmVets #1991 and Moose Lodge #2094. She worked at Johns Manville for over 30 years until her retirement in  2017. She was an animal lover, especially cats. She enjoyed flea markets and loved spending time with her family.

Sally is survived by her children, Andrew (Lisa) Yocklin of Defiance, Thomas (Kim) Yocklin of Maryland, Norman (Gwen) Yocklin of Defiance, and Corinna (Lonny) Gambler of Defiance. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her brother, Robert (Nancy) Lang, two fur granddaughters, her cat Bubba, and a special friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, and her great-grandson, Maddox Yocklin.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2025 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Deacon Nick Varano officiating. Sally will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
