Rose E. (VanAgtmael) Goeltzenleuchter

Rose E. Goeltzenleuchter, age 93 of Defiance, passed away on Sunday morning, June 26, 2022 at Kingsbury Place in Defiance, Ohio.   
  
She was born on April 17, 1929 to the late Peter and Mary (Conway) VanAgtmael in Hart, Michigan. Rose was married to Virgil V. Mack, who preceded her in death in 1991, and Dale Goeltzenleuchter, who passed away in 2006.
  
Rose was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance. She was caring and loving, and dedicated her life to raising her children.  
  
Rose is survived by her children; Andrew (Dawn) Mack, John (Jill) Mack, and Melinda (Nabil) Jallad, all of Defiance, her grandchildren; Angela (Richard) Gutman of Bryan, OH, Desirae Mack of Defiance, Adam Mack of Defiance, Rachel Mack of Perrysburg, OH, Zachary (John Morris) Mack of Mays Landing, NJ, Elaina (Brian) Connor of Chicago, IL, Mona (Ryan) Westfall of Defiance, Nael Jallad of Defiance, Nasser (Britney) Jallad of Whitehouse, OH, and Nimer Jallad of Defiance, her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Caden, Camden, Brooklyn, Nadia, Amira, Mila, Addie, Tarek, and Penelope, and one great-great-grandson, Jaxtyn. 
  
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christina Jallad.
  
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Fr. David Cirata officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
  
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, or Ft. Defiance Humane Society.
