Rose M. Finkenbiner, age 67 of Defiance, passed away at Northcrest Rehab and Nursing Center in Napoleon, Ohio on December12, 2024.
She was born on April 7, 1957 to the late Keith and Ethel (Keys) Goodwin in Defiance, Ohio. Rose was a 1976 graduate of Defiance High School. She married Douglas Finkenbiner on June 12, 1976 at Church of Christ. She was a member of Defiance Christian Church. She worked at the Defiance Elementary School in the kitchen for 17 years. Rose was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed all the time spent with family and friends. She loved to laugh.
Rose is survived by her husband Doug Finkenbiner, son Jason Finkenbiner and daughter Jennifer Hoover, all of Defiance, and a grandson Blake Finkenbiner of Batesville, MS. Also not to forget her favorite feline companion Hoot.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Finkenbiner.

Visitation will be held at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. (Don't feel the need to dress up, come as you are.)
Funeral Services will be held at Schaffer Funeral Home South on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Funeral lunch at Amvets Post 1991 on Spruce Street will follow.
