Ronald "Ron" Holbrook

Ronald Holbrook, age 86 of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born on May 22, 1939 in Allen, Kentucky, the son on of William and Ruby (Frazier) Holbrook. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany. He worked for Western Union, General Motors, Defiance Beverage Company, River Valley Distributors, and as Canteen Manager for VFW Post #3360 until his retirement in 2001. Ron was a member of VFW #3360, Eagles #372 and AmVets #1991.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Sue (Dowe) Holbrook, three daughters, Rhonda (Mike) Lyon, Sharon (Larry) Lampe and Karen Morgan, his son Michael Holbrook, stepson Charles (Hilary) Martinez, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at 11:00 am in Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Larry Kennedy officiating. Military graveside honors will be presented by VFW #3360.
