Ricardo "Ricky" Davila

Ricardo "Ricky" Davila, age 58 of Defiance, suddenly passed away at his home in Defiance on Thursday morning, July 4, 2019.   
  
He was born on April 22, 1961 to Joe and Elvia (Castillo) Davila in Salineno, Texas. On March 5, 1983 he married Linda (Flores) Davila, who resides in Defiance.

Ricky was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance Moose Lodge #2094, Defiance Eagles #372, and Defiance VFW #3360. He worked at WalMart Tire and Lube Express for over four years, and currently for the City of Defiance Street Department for the past  23 years. Ricky was a hard worker, a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and many good friends.
  
Ricky is survived by his loving wife of  36 years, Linda Davila of Defiance, his mother, Elvia Davila of Defiance, son, Austin Davila of Defiance, daughters, Amanda  (Larry Ritson) Davila of Toledo, and Jessica Davila of Defiance. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Jazelle Urbina, Valentino Davila, Ivy Ritson, and  Emma Grace Ritson, his brother, Jerry "JD" Davila of Defiance, and sisters, Norma Davila-Gonzales of Defiance, and Tammy Davila-Gillett of Bryan. 
  
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe L. Davila, sister, Mary Lou Davila, and brother, Ruben Davila.
  
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 10th at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Vincent Cantu officiating.
