Primitivo Hernandez, Jr.

Primitivo Hernandez, Jr., age 55 of Defiance, went home to be with Jesus , his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving daughter and family on Friday, February 7, 2025 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.   
  
He was born on March 30, 1969 to Lydia (Garcia) and Primitivo Hernandez Sr. in Brownsville, Texas. He was a faithful member of Xperience Church and served on the Production Team. Primitivo worked for APC for almost 20 years and also worked for Core Residential as a Direct Support Professional. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. He cherished spending time with his only daughter, his pride and joy. He also loved his family very deeply and looked forward to family gatherings with his six siblings and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his beloved daughter, family and many good friends.
  
Primitivo is survived by his father, Primitivo Hernandez, Sr. of Defiance, daughter, Alicia (Connor Greenwood) Hernandez of Albuquerque, NM, sisters, Maria Falealo of Berkley, MI, Ludivina (Rudy) Reyes, Loida (Noel) Torres, and Lorena (Enrique) Martinez, all of Defiance, and his brothers, Elias (Amanda) Hernandez and Eliseo (Julie) Hernandez, all of Defiance.
  
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Hernandez, sister Leticia Hernandez, and brother-in-law, Enrique Martinez, Jr.
  
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 13th at the funeral home, Pastor Nick Hill officiating.
