Phillip Alan Barndt, age 76, of Defiance, passed away on December 16, 2025 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Center after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born on April 18, 1949 to Harry and Ruth (Weigle) Barndt in Johnstown, PA. Phillip proudly served in the United States Air Force as staff sergeant from 1968-1976 where he worked as a jet engine mechanic. He served one tour in Vietnam before retuning home. On June 19, 1993 he married Tana Diller and she survives. Phillip earned his associates degree and worked on the Vaccination Crew for Cooper Farms for over 10 years before retiring. He was an avid book reader, enjoyed watching NASCAR, NFL games and old western TV shows and series. He will be missed by many family members and friends.
Phillip is survived by his loving spouse of 32 years Tana, his son, Christopher (Donna) of NC, his daughter, Alicia (J.J.) of FL, grandson, Tristen of PA, step-daughters, Vanessa and Lee of PA, Kayla of VA, Carmen of OH and Charity of MA and his sister, Carol of PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services per Phillip's request.
