Peter Mason Lundberg

Peter M. Lundberg, age 73 of Defiance, peacefully passed away with his wife by his side on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Kingsbury Place in Defiance, Ohio.   
  
He was born on September 29, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio and at three months adopted by the late Arthur and Helen (Mason) Lundberg in Defiance Ohio. Pete proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972. On March 31, 1984 he married Nancy Zeisloft who survives.

Pete was a faithful member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. His lifelong dedication and his love for serving the community of Defiance was evident through his many memberships and hours of service over the years. He was a Past President of Defiance Rotary and was a councilman for the City of Defiance. For several years he owned and operated a downtown restaurant Charlie's Down Under. Pete will be sadly missed by his wife, former colleagues and many good friends.
  
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Nancy Lundberg of Defiance, three brothers-in-law and their wives, and many nieces and nephews.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Helen Lundberg, and one sister.
  
A Celebration of Life Service for Pete will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, with Pastor Marcella Ciccotelli officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 am before the service. A luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall.    
Memorials in Pete's honor may be gifted to Defiance Rotary Foundation (PO Box 830, Defiance, Ohio, 43512) for the Shelter Box or Defiance Rotary walkway.
