Paul "Doug" Crocker, 69 of Defiance passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 in his home. Doug was born August 25, 1949 in Defiance, Ohio to Doral and Virginia (Endsley) Crocker. He married Darlene Doenges on July 13, 1985 at North Mt. Zion Church in Continental.
Doug was a 1967 graduate of Defiance High School. He was employed in the plastering business for 28 years with his father and grandfather. He also worked at Sauder Woodworking.
Doug loved the outdoors. His hobby was the never ending pursuit of the big fish or the big buck. His first love was Southern Gospel music and singing about faith in his Lord. Doug traveled over the years singing solo, singing with the Foundation Quartet and with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister, Nancy Osborn.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene, and his children, Colby King of Newark, Ohio, and Kyle (Jessica) Crocker of Defiance. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Clara Elizabeth King and Colt Douglas Crocker, and a brother, Webb Crocker.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the North Mount Zion Church.
