Paul G. Sowers

Paul Gaylord Sowers, 81, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  
  
He was born on October 31, 1943 to Richard and Donna (Kittridge) Sowers in Hicksville. Paul served in the US Army from 1965 to 1967.  On April 17, 1965 he married Linda Bunn who preceded him on July 23, 2020.   Paul worked for International Harvestor for 21 years before owning and operating P&T Seamless Gutters with his wife.
  
He was a Life Member of AMVETS Post #1991.  Paul was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.  He never missed a game or broadcast, often times watching the games with his son, Todd.  Paul enjoyed mowing and being outdoors.  His family was of the utmost importance.
  
Paul is survived by his son, Todd (Tabitha Slagle) Sowers and great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Sowers both of Defiance. 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Marie Sowers; granddaughter, Jessica M. Sowers; brothers, Robert, Wayne, and Ed Sowers.
  
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home with Celebrant Deb Miller, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Brunersburg Cemetery.
