Patricia L. (McClusky) Goldfuss

Patricia L. Goldfuss, age 87, of Defiance, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to her heavenly home on Friday morning, September 21, 2018 at The Laurels in Defiance.   
  
Patricia was born on May 25, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Martha (Mitchell) McClusky. She graduated from Libby High School in 1949. In 1949 she married Richard Podgorski and had two daughters from that marriage. Then in 1954 she married Herman "Hammie" Goldfuss, who passed away in 2000. From that marriage came two sons, 20 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

Pat loved her Bingo, and playing cards and board games. She was a member and past president of Defiance Eagles #372, a life member and past officer of VFW Auxiliary #3360, a member and past Regent of Defiance Moose Auxiliary #1246, past officer of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary #1991, and past officer of Sacketts #91.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Ms. Terri Flory of Defiance, and Mrs. Lori (Clyde) Dawson of Canton, OH, sons, Gary (Barbe) Goldfuss of Defiance, and Rick Goldfuss of Bristol, Tennessee.  
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Goldfuss, Jr, her only brother Robert McClusky, grandson Jeff Barnwell, granddaughters Tena Sanders and Christina Moore, great-grandson Bentley Crowle and two great-granddaughters.
  
Visitation will be held from2-8 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, with an AMVETS Ladies' Auxiliary service at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at  11:00 am on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
