Pamela A. VanDyke

Pamela Ann VanDyke, age 57, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Toledo Hospital. 

She was born on July 13, 1968, to John and Karen Young in Defiance. She was a 1986 graduate of Defiance High School and worked as a laborer for General Motors for many years. On September 19, 1987, she married Randy VanDyke, and he survives her. Pamela's greatest joy in life was her family, and she devoted herself fully to her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.

Pamela is survived by her loving spouse of 38 years, Randy; her mother, Karen Young of Lakeland, FL; three children, Joshua (Breanna) VanDyke of Fort Wayne, IN, Amantha (Luke) Nicely of Defiance, and Taylor (Mark Sparks) Seinkner of Toledo, OH; three grandchildren: Charlotte Seinkner, and Emma and Elijah VanDyke; one sister, Cindy (Rick) Bond of Lakeland, FL; and one brother, John (Kris) Young of Lima, OH.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Young, her mother-in-law, Magaline VanDyke, and her father-in-law, Lowell VanDyke.

It was Pamela's wish to not have a service, and her family will be honoring that.
