Obituary
Noa R. Mayer, age 23, of Defiance, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 18, 2023 after her long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on August 20, 1999 to Douglas Mayer and Linda (Nafziger) Mayer in Defiance, Ohio. Noa was a 2017 honors graduate of Defiance High School, and loved her involvement in the choir. She graduated with honors from Baldwin-Wallace University in 2021, earning degrees Psychology and Math, and was a member of the college math club. Noa loved animals and she worked on two projects for Habitat For Humanity. Noa was very intelligent and driven, and her strength and positive attitude will never be forgotten.
Noa will be sadly missed by her mother Linda Mayer of Defiance, her father Douglas Mayer of Indiana, her siblings Joseph Mayer and Azory Mayer, both of Defiance, her grandparents Daniel and Kathy Nafziger of Stryker, OH, Patricia Nafziger of Bryan, OH, and Gen and Duane Mayer of Defiance, and her niece Mia Mayer of Defiance.
There will be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
