Nathan "Nate" T. Ziegler

Nathan T. "Nate" Ziegler, age 38 of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.   
  
He was born on June 23, 1986 to Thomas and Laura (Gilgenbach) Ziegler in Defiance, Ohio. Nate was a 2005 graduate of Defiance High School and Four County Career Center, and graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute of Indianapolis, IN for automotive technology. He was a very talented auto mechanic and worked for several years at Nelson & Bobs, Keller Trucking, Integrity Motors, Vision Car Dealership, and B&B Molding. He enjoyed music, video games, car shows, fishing, movies and concerts. Nate will be greatly missed by his family, colleagues, and many good friends.
  
Nate is survived by his mother, Laura Cymbola of Defiance, his father, Thomas Ziegler of Defiance, Aunt Mary Kay Whitner, Cousins Brian Whitner and Bailey Whitner, Uncle Terry Davis, Cousins Mike (Becky) Davis, Tricia Davis, Penny (Matt) Choma, Aunts Ruth Harris and Janet (Richard) Dandy, Uncle Dennis (Debra) Gilgenbach, Cousin Theresa (fiancé Craig Musch) Dandy, Uncle Larry (Karen) Cymbola, Aunts Julie Slagle and Lori (Bob) Bevelhymer, and numerous cousins and friends. 
  
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Kenneth Cymbola, grandparents, Norman and Germaine Ziegler and Clarence and Madonna Gilgenbach, step-grandparents, Bill and Iva Cordes, Aunt Karen Davis, and Uncles James "Jim" Harris, Fred Gilgenbach, Kenny Gilgenbach, and Terry Slagle.

Private services will be held at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance.
