Michelle Marie Rockholt

Michelle Marie Rockholt, age 59 of Sherwood, Ohio, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday evening, September 4, 2024 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.  
  
She was born on August 12, 1965 to the late Rudolph and Helen (Craig) Black Sr. in Defiance, Ohio. On May 26, 2016 she married Randy Rockholt who survives. Michelle enjoyed riding motorcycles, and gardening. She loved her flowers and enjoyed cooking for everyone. She was an old soul with a good heart and always took care of others in need. She enjoyed taking care of her home to perfection. Michelle treasured her time spent with her family.
  
Michelle is survived by her loving husband Randy Rockholt of Sherwood, and her siblings; Kim (Jimmy) Harrill of Tennessee, Rudolph Black, Jr., Pamela Black and Denise (Scott) Yonge, all of Defiance, Lori (Rick) Baldwin of Florida, Julie (Dan) Black of Antwerp, Cory (Tammy) Black of Sherwood, and Joshua (Jessica) Black of Defiance. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and her faithful service dog, Jasper. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Rudolph Black Sr., and her first service dog, Conway.
  
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Perry Porter officiating. Michelle will be laid to rest at Poplar Ridge Cemetery.
