Coressel, age 45 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital.
He was born on June 7, 1976 to Albert and Ruth (Arend) Coressel in Bryan, Ohio. Mike worked at Fricker's in Defiance, and Barney's in Evansport. He was a huge fan of Michigan and San Francisco 49ers. Mike treasured his time spent with his family. He will be sadly missed by his family and many good friends.
Mike is survived by his parents, Albert Coressel and Ruth Coressel, his brother, John (Melissa) Coressel, and two sisters, Tammy Bland and Julie Malone, all of Defiance, and his best friends who were his "brothers"; Jason Cheek, Chad and Adam Pelland, T.J. Veres Jr., David Blake, Nick Zimmerman, and John Willis, all of Defiance, seven nephews and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Dorothy Coressel and Meldan and Gladys Arend.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton St,. Defiance) A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Due to CDC guidelines, if you are not fully vaccinated a mask is required to enter the funeral home, and our lounge area will remain closed.
