Mary Weber Obituary

Mary M. Weber, affectionately known as "Marnie" passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born in Defiance, Ohio on December 11, 1930 to the late Louis and Cleopha (Bernhardt) Ducatt. Marnie graduated as Valedictorian from Defiance High School in 1948. On September 16, 1950 she married Albert A. Weber, who preceded her in death in 2011.

Marnie devoted her life to her family, raising twelve children on the farm in Noble Township. She was a dedicated and loving mother who ensured her children were well cared for and supported, often serving as their driver to countless school, athletic, and academic events. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. Marnie and her husband Al spent several winters at their home in Green Valley, Arizona, a time they greatly enjoyed. She was a faithful member of St. John's Catholic Church in Defiance. Her greatest joy was her large and growing family, and she cherished every visit from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Charles (Beth) Weber, Tim (Jeanne) Weber, Karen (Dave Rohrs) Kruse, Robert (Chris) Weber, Jeff (Barb) Weber, Ron (Lori) Weber, Hugh (Kelly Sampson) Weber, Steve (Staci Markley) Weber, Ann (Jerry) Overmier, Jane (Mike) Shaffer, Jennifer (John) Prokup, and Michael (Morgan) Weber, 33 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert Weber, sister Carolyn Moser, brother Dr. Daniel Ducatt, son-in-law Dan Kruse, daughter-in-law Kristy Weber, one grandson and one great-grandson.
