Mary Ann Lehman, age 93 of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Glenn Park of Defiance.
She was born on October 3, 1928 to Fred and Amelia (Huner) Kammeyer in Defiance, Ohio. Mary Ann was a 1947 graduate of Defiance High School. On April 30, 1950 she married Charles H. Lehman, who preceded her in death on February 11, 2018.
Mary Ann was a faithful member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. She loved to cook for family and friends, and also for the Defiance Rotary. In her leisure time she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, and she treasured her time spent with her family.
Mary Ann will be greatly missed by her children; Steven (Cindy) Lehman and Ron (Cookie) Lehman, all of Defiance, Jody (Dave) Vining of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Scott (Tahra) Lehman of Cape Coral, FL. She also leaves her grandchildren whom she adored with all her heart; David Lehman, Vanessa Gonyer, Christie Loving, Erin Lehman Parks, Shane Vining, Madison Lehman, and Jacob Lehman, and nine great-grandchildren, her sister, Donna Fickel, and her brother, Jim (Judy) Kammeyer, all of Defiance.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Stykemain, and granddaughter, Sara Jane Lehman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Lee Genter officiating. Due to CDC guidelines, if you are not fully vaccinated a mask is required to enter the funeral home, and our lounge area will remain closed. Entombment will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
