Mary A. (Brinkman) Frisinger

Mary A. Frisinger, 84, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in her home surrounded by loved ones.

A lifelong resident of Defiance, Mary was born on May 10, 1940, the daughter of Robert L. and Emma (Oelfke) Brinkman. She was a 1958 graduate of Defiance High School and married Craig T. Frisinger on October 11, 1958.

Mary was an office manager at the Defiance Dental Group for 20 years and attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. A longtime member of Wyant Art, Mary's interests included painting, poetry, decorating and spending time with her family. She was among a small group of parents who founded the Little Girls Softball League in Defiance in the 1970s. 

In addition to her husband Craig, survivors include a son, Craig D. Frisinger, daughters Christine (Robert) Fredenburg and Heather (Jesse) Scott; grandchildren Rob Frisinger, Brittani (Brock) Lime, Barron Frisinger, Brooklyn Frisinger, Amber Fredenburg, Ashley (Justin) Conrad, Natalie (James) Fisher, Nathan (Bailey) Porter, and Morgan (Tristan) Aden; and eight great-grandchildren.

Also surviving Mary are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Cary Frisinger, Cathy Brubaker, and Cheryl (Bob) Kehnast, and special cousin and "sister" Jeanette Melia.

Preceding Mary in death in addition to her parents was a granddaughter, Emmalie Ann Fredenburg.

Calling hours will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 22nd at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Rev. David Brobston officiating. One hour of visitation will be held prior to the service at the church.

Preferred memorials may be directed to Heartland Hospice in Whitehouse, Ohio.
