Mary Jane (Klein) Davis

Mary Jane  Davis, 95, of Defiance, passed away on  November 26, 2025 at the Laurels in Defiance, OH.  
  
She was born on September 19, 1930 to Carl and Freida (Houck) Klein in Defiance, OH. Mary Jane worked as an administrator for Dinner Bell for 20 years until her retirement in 1995. On  December 10, 1948, she married Wilfred  "Bill" Davis, who preceded her on January 29, 2000.
  
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to the east side McDonald's for coffee with her friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
  
Mary Jane is survived by her son, Rick (Cathy) Davis of Defiance, Daughter-in-law, Norma Jean Davis of the State of MA.,  5 grandchildren, and 14 Great Grandchildren. 
  
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary A Davis, brother, Carl Klein, and grandson, Chad Davis.
  
Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2025, 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton St.) in Defiance. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 1:30 pm at the funeral home, with Rev. David Plant, officiating. Mary Jane will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
