Martha Mae Wolfrum

Martha M. Wolfrum, age 89 of Defiance, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday evening,  March 22, 2022 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.   
  
She was born on May 1, 1932 to the late Edward and Cora (Lehman) Flory in Jewell, Ohio. On December 9, 1950 she married Ralph W. Wolfrum, who preceded her in death on December 3, 1979. 
  
Martha was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, and St. Mike's Golf Club. She enjoyed crafting, bowling, crocheting, and playing golf. Martha was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and so many friends that loved her.   
  
Martha is survived by her children, Brenda (Larry) Manon, John (Rita) Wolfrum, and Michael (Janice) Wolfrum, all of Defiance, nine grandchildren; Andy (Sandra) Manon, Kyle (Randi) Manon, Mark (Sondra) Manon, Daniel (Tara Malone) Wolfrum, Bradley (Julie Toles) Wolfrum, Amy Wolfrum, Katie (Jerad Allen) Wolfrum, Chelsie (Nick) Mitchell and Abigayle Wolfrum, and her great-grandchildren; Kiersten Manon, Emily Manon, Jake Manon, Abram Manon, Henry Manon, Theodore Manon, Thayne Manon, Leona Manon, Carter Wolfrum, Caroline Wolfrum, Claire Wolfrum, Airen Wolfrum, Adrianna Mitchell, Savannah Mitchell, and River Mitchell, and her brother Lee (Fran) Flory in Boise, Idaho. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wolfrum, and her sisters, Thelma Shannon and Marie Gessner, and her special friend, Thomas McDiarmid.
  
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton St.) in Defiance. A funeral service for Martha will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
