Marilyn A. (Morris) Guilliam

Marilyn A. "Toot" Guilliam, age 89 of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital.  

She was born in Defiance, Ohio on May 29, 1935 to the late Fred and D'Nelle (Fout) Morris. In 1954 she married Robert "Gilly" Guilliam, who preceded her in death in 2008. 

Toot was a faithful and active member of St. John Lutheran Church and helped start "The Clothes Closet" organization. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, her greatest love was her family. She was an avid sports fan, always cheering on the Michigan Wolverines. Toot will be sadly missed by her family and many good friends. 

Toot is survived by her children, Candy (Gene) Leal of Defiance, Stan (Amy) Guilliam of Ft. Wayne, IN, Chris Palmer of Centerville, OH, Cindy (Thom) Blake of Hamilton, IN, and Ty (Chris) Guilliam of Coldwater, MI. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Gilly" Guilliam, sister Bonnie Gomez, brother Ken Morris, son-in-law Jack Palmer, and sisters-in-law Marilyn Houck and Shirley Morris, and brother-in-law Con Gomez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Toot will be laid to rest at Riverview Memory Gardens.
