Marilyn Eitniear Obituary

Marilyn E. Eitniear, 85, of Defiance, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance.   
 
She was born on February 4, 1933 to Harry and Leona (Knepper) Busch in Henry County, Ohio. On November 9, 1953 she married Willard Eitniear, who preceded her in death on April 11, 1991.
 
She was Baptized at United Church of Christ in Napoleon, where she faithfully attended church for several years. Marilyn worked at Ohio Art in Bryan, Ohio for 32 years until her retirement in 1996.  In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cross-stitch. Marilyn was an avid sports fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She cherished her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  
 
Marilyn will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sue Renn of Defiance, sons, Douglas (Amy) Eitniear of Sherwood, Larry Eitniear (Theresa Karnes) of Defiance, and Gary Eitniear of  Defiance, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, 6 step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, and one step-great-great-grandchild.
 
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Busch, mother, Leona Wiselogle, husband, Willard Eitniear, and son-in-law, Chuck Renn.
 
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 16th at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
