Marc P. McBride

Marc McBride, age 69 of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Elaine (Smith) McBride; his children Judson (Kathryn) McBride and Kaycie (Brendan) Herrera; grandchildren Jordyn and Rylan McBride, Kade and Collins Herrera; sister Vicki (Lon) Grube; brother-in-law Richard Smith, two nephews and numerous friends. He was preceded by his parents Ch. Judson and Margene (Hoffman) McBride.
Marc was born August 21st, 1952. He graduated from Defiance High School in 1970 and went on to earn a degree from Hocking Tech. He worked at Dinner Bell in Archbold until its closing and went on to work and retire from ABC Distributing as a salesman in 2014.
Coldwater Lake was Marc’s favorite place to enjoy fishing, boating, friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 7th, 2022 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held on Friday April 8th, at 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Defiance. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
